Strip Search is a web-based reality series where 12 artists compete for $15,000 cash and a year's integration with the Penny Arcade offices. The show was added to Season Four of Penny Arcade: The Series when the $450,000 stretch goal on the Penny Arcade Kickstarter campaign was reached. Strip Search was created by the Penny Arcade team and produced by Bionic Trousers Media. In addition to shooting and editing, the crew was involved in the early planning stages and ongoing pre-production. Graham is both the director and the host, with Gabe and Tycho serving as the judges. Strip Search premiered March 1, 2013.
Filming
Strip Search was filmed in December 2012. In Loading Time - Junk in the Trunk, Graham estimates that on the biggest day of filming, 20 GoPro cameras were in use.
