The equipment used by LoadingReadyRun is as follows:

  • Camera:
    • Sony HDR-FX1 MiniDV. The videos are shot in 1080i, and edited in either 1080i or DV Widescreen
  • Audio:
    • RODE VideoMic, RODE Boompole and RODE Deadcat windscreen
  • Lighting:
    • Basic floodlights, with (usually) 250W or 500W bulbs—occasionally daylight balanced
    • Generic halogen construction lamps
  • Computers and Software:
    • Main video editing is done with Apple Final Cut Pro on Graham's iMac G5 or Intel MacBook
    • Additional videos may be edited on Apple iMovie, or (in the instance of most Loading Time videos) Adobe Premiere
    • Final video is exported in 640x480 .mov files using the Apple H.264 codec
  • Still Photography:
    • James uses a Nikon D40, with a variety of lenses
    • Graham uses a Canon Digital Rebel XTI
    • Apple iPhone pictures are commonly used as well
