![]()
This page deals with cards from the game Magic: The Gathering as they pertain to the rules of Viking Secret Wildcard Poker.
When M:tG cards are involved in the game, they are formed into a separate pile and dealt into the Knuckle position.
Unless otherwise specified:
- Land cards add a Rank of 2 to all other regular Rank cards in the player's five-item hand.
- All other card types have a Rank equal to their mana cost
Elder Dragon Legends
- Arcades Sabboth : Arcades has a Rank of 8, and can be used in a Rank combos like a regular card. The Rank of all cards in your hand are increased by 2 BEFORE applying combo-multipliers
- Chromium : Chromium has a Rank of 8 and can be used in Rank combos like a regular card. After the Pants card, the player with the lowest chip total in play applies an additional x2 multiplier to his final calculated score if he used Chromium in his hand.
- Nicol Bolas : Nicol has a Rank of 8 but cannot be used in combos. If Nicol Bolas is dealt to your Pit, reveal him immediately after the Knuckle or the Flaps. The opponent with the highest chip total in play returns his Pit cards to the dealer, and continues his round without Pit cards. After the Pants card is flipped, he is dealt two cards and scores as normal.
- Paladia-Mors : If you use Paladia Mors in your hand, score your 4 other cards. Then remove one, and add the score of the remaining three to the previous total. Do this for 2 and 1 cards. If a set of cards has no Rank cards in it and requires one for any points, assume a card of Rank 8 is present.
- Vaevictus Asmadi : Vaevictus has a Rank of 8, but can be treated as if it was any Rank less than 7 in order to complete any combo involving Rank cards. For example: {3, 4, 5, V, 7} gives you a straight, but V still counts as 8 points, to give you 15x(3+4+5+7+8)= 405.
