Kane and Crowthorne are the protagonists of the Mercenary Solutions series of shorts. Kane (Kathleen) and Crowthorne (Alex) are a pair of utterly ruthless soldiers-for-hire. Despite a careless attitude towards collateral damage, they are competent and extremely effective. Their methods would be considered overkill for a routine assassination. Kane killed a barista for giving her the wrong blended coffee, which arguably makes her more dangerous than the Warriors of Darkness (who were mollified by a coupon).

They appeared throughout Series 3 of Rapidfire.
