Kathleen De Vere is a performer, writer, and editor for LoadingReadyRun. She appears on Crossing the Streams, AFK, LoadingReadyLIVE, Checkpoint, CommodoreHUSTLE, and Crapshots. She also appears in much of LRR's Magic: The Gathering content, including LRRMtG, Friday Night Paper Fight, TapTapConcede, Elder Dragon Social Club, Friday Nights, and at Pre-Prereleases. She was crowned the champion of Game Knights Live at MagicCon Vegas in 2023, after winning the qualifying Game Knights Live round at MagicCon Minneapolis earlier that year. Kathleen is one of the more "Spiky" Magic players on the crew and favors blue-black mill decks, plus any card with a cat on it.

Kathleen has appeared in multiple Dice Friends campaigns, not only as a player, but also as a gamerunner. She wrote and ran Camp Nettlebee in 2018, and two seasons of Bylaw & Order in 2019 and 2024. In addition, she was commissioned to write one-shot campaigns for the Hank and John Green charity event Pizzamas in 2024 and 2025. She ran the 2024 one-shot, "Pizzamas Island: Welcome to Vlogrill," during the 2025 Sub-A-Thon.

From 2017 to 2019, Kathleen hosted the dating simulator stream Now Kiss! That stream has been resurrected in a limited fashion in that for each sub-a-thon she has played a dating simulator game with fellow crewmember Jordynne Hatton.

From 2020 to 2021, she hosted Kathleen's Animal Crossing: New Horizons Island Tour as a series of Bonus Streams.

Kathleen appeared in 227 episodes of Feed Dump, making her the most frequent co-host of that show. (Graham Stark is second-place with 190 appearances). After the end of Feed Dump, she was the host of Season 1 of The Panalysts, and a co-writer and panalyst for Season 2.

Kathleen has appeared in some capacity at every Desert Bus for Hope, usually as an entertainer. She also works as the event's volunteer coordinator.

Kathleen hosts a pirate radio show on her Twitch channel, BraveNewFaves, where she plays new and interesting music along with listener suggestions, usually starting around 9:30 P.M. Pacific Time on Saturdays. There are no VODs of these streams.

Kathleen first became associated with LoadingReadyRun when she met Graham Stark at a student newspaper conference in Edmonton, Alberta, where they quickly hit it off, and Graham showed her the 2003 Halloween Special. The two got engaged sometime before Desert Bus for Hope 6, but it was not announced until afterward. They were married on July 5th, 2014. They have a daughter, Penelope.

Kathleen is known for her excellent sense of style both in clothing and in hair. (Note: This is NOT to say that other crew members' sytle is somehow lacking) She has had a number of hairstyles over the years, and viewers can determine the era or even the exact year a video is from based on what hairstyle she is sporting.

Kathleen has two cats, Baxter and Finnegan. Both are Maine Coons. She previously had two other cats that are now sadly deceased, Annika and Khaavren.

Other Ventures

• Kathleen worked for the University of Northern British Columbia newspaper, "Over the Edge." She also interned at PG This Week. As she explained in Episode 2 of the 20th Anniversary LRRCast, she was supposed to finish her internship at the more prestigious Prince George Citizen, but the nepotism hire that the internship had been intended for was so incompetent Kathleen had to be brought back to PG This Week. She later did an internship for the Chetwynd Echo.
• Kathleen used to write about the mobile gaming industry for Inside Mobile Apps.
• Kathleen has written several comic strips in the past, including "Fun with Kathleen" for Over the Edge, Korea for LoadingReadyRun, and the Tumblr "Things My Cat Hates", starring Annika.
• Since 2024, Kathleen has been working on a novel.

• Kathleen's first writing effort was Door to Door.
• Kathleen once drew a cartoon lampooning irritating fetch quests in games, featuring someone gathering bear asses. This cartoon is featured on the TV Tropes page, "20 Bear Asses."
