Brendan John “Beej” Dery is a performer and business manager for LoadingReadyRun. (By the way, have you checked out the LRR store recently?) He appears on AFK, Checkpoint, Chillpoint, Crossing the Streams, and LoadingReadyLive, as well as in CommodoreHUSTLE, Crapshots, and Qwerpline. In Road Quest, he drove the Fursuit Vehicle, a Ford Crown Victoria that won the Woodcock 500 Time Trials. He does not generally appear in Magic: The Gathering content; the exception to this is Beejlander, a format he created wherein players must play a deck built from a random 100-card pack purchased at the Dollar Store.

A recurring bit in Crapshots is "The Beejdrop," wherein another person *becomes* Beej (or even multiple people). It's been a while since this last happened, but don't be fooled - it could happen at any moment. It could even happen to you! [beejdrop.ogg]

Beej first met through LRR through his work for the improv troupe the 404s, where fellow troupe member (and future LRR crewmember) Ian Horner introduced him to LRR's work, and they did a performance with Graham Stark at Anime Evolution in Vancouver in 2009. His first appearance in a LRR video was an uncredited cameo in the stinger for The Very Best of Room Tone. His first credited appearance was in CommodoreHUSTLE 028 - Forward Facing.

Beej's first appearance at Desert Bus for Hope was at Desert Bus for Hope 5 where he showed up, guitar in hand, and was willing to stay late into the night. This would lead to the creation of Zeta Shift, the midnight to 6:00 A.M. shift. Beej has consistently appeared as an entertainer on Zeta.

Beej and his wife, fellow LRR crewmember Heather Dery, moved from Olds, Alberta to the Victoria area in 2012 (they initially lived in Langford).

Beej is a known connoisseur of anime. In fact, he was the president of his university's anime club. He will do a quarterly "Anime Roundup" as a Bonus Stream.

During Desert Bus for Hope 7, Beej revealed that his nickname came about during his infancy. When he was first named, his older brother, then two years old, struggled to pronounce his real name, "Brendan." To compensate, Beej's father nicknamed him B.J. for his first and middle initials. This was later shortened to "Beej" by Beej's grandfather, and the name stuck as Beej himself grew older. He currently uses the nickname to recognize how people know him, as his professional colleagues know him as Brendan while his friends and family know him as Beej.

In 2013, Beej was co-host of the TopTech podcast, with Ian Horner and Johnny Blakeborough.

• Beej plays guitar, and has done so at Desert Bus and in episodes of LoadingReadyLIVE.
• Beej would be credited as a boom operator under the title "Beejoom".
• Beej has esotropia, a form of strabismus that causes one or more eyes to turn inward. As a result, Beej has no 3d vision, as mentioned a few times in LRR history and streams.
• During a discussion of what Beej's middle name was, Heather once jokingly threatened to change all certificates and documentation to make him "Brendan JERF Dery".
• Beej hates freedom, kittens and the chat.
