- The card James finds in his Dairy Milk bar in the opening sketch is a Ghor-Clan Rampager, recently reprinted in Modern Masters 2017. It is a "golden ticket" because multicolored Magic cards have gold backgrounds, and because it's a very powerful card.
- The card Beej finds is Mons' Goblin Raiders, which is both monocolored (therefore not "gold") and generally considered not worth playing.
