Shockingly, the biggest games company has the most news. So much EA, this week on CheckPoint.
Stories
- Bad news for the four people that wanted to play Battlefield 4 on the WiiU - the Frostbite Engine doesn't run on it.
- Nintendo is working on a professional level piece of software that will allow smartphone games to easily be ported to the WiiU.
- Sony's PS4 will feature a share button that, among other things, will let you record and stream your gameplay, but now we've learned that developers will be able to disable this function.
- Disney has signed a multi-year deal with EA for the publishing and development of all future Star Wars games.
- Lucas has registered domain names for what are assumed to be new Star Wars games - StarWarsRebels, StarWarsWolfpack, and WookieHunters.
- EA has announced that going forward, their shooters will not feature licensed guns. Well, they never licensed guns, but they also won't be doing any more promotions with gun manufacturers.
